In the history of mechanics, there have been two points of view for studying
mechanical systems: The Newtonian and the Cartesian.
According the Descartes point of view, the motion of mechanical systems is
described by the first-order differential equations in the $N$ dimensional
configuration space $\textsc{Q}.$
In this paper we develop the Cartesian approach for mechanical systems with
three degrees of freedom and with constraint which are linear with respect to
velocity. The obtained results we apply to discuss the integrability of the
geodesic flows on the surface in the three dimensional Euclidian space and to
analyze the integrability of a heavy rigid body in the Suslov and the Veselov
cases .
We extend the Eruguin result exposed in the paper "Construction of the whole
set of ordinary differential equations with a given integral curve" published
in 1952 and construct a differential system in $\Bbb{R}^N$ which admits a given
set of the partial integrals, in particular we study the case when theses
functions are polynomials. We construct a non-Darboux integrable planar
polynomial system of degree $n$ with one invariant irreducible algebraic curve
$g(x,y)=0$. For this system we analyze the Darboux integrability, Poincare's
problem and 16th's Hilbert problem for algebraic limit cycles.
Active music listening has emerged as a study field that aims to enable listeners to interactively control music. Most of active music listening systems aim to control music aspects such as playback, equalization, browsing, and retrieval, but few of them aim to control expressive aspects of music to convey emotions. In this study our aim is to enrich the music listening experience by allowing listeners to control expressive parameters in music performances using their perceived emotional state, as detected from their brain activity. We obtain electro-encephalogram (EEG) data using a low-cost EEG device and then map this information into a coordinate in the emotional arousalvalence plane. The resulting coordinate is used to apply expressive transformations to mu-sic performances in real time by tuning different performance parameters in...
