The influences of scientists, the media, actors of the educational system and textbook authors on the school external didactic transposition (EDT) will be addressed. This research work proposed to identify the critical success factors for a Business Process
Managemet Suites (BPMS) implementation having as a case study a business automotive
company carrying out a project to set up a shared services center. From the process definition
articulated with business strategy to the BPMS implementation supporting a core process, the
proposal for selling a vehicle, this research studied the experiences and the difficulties to
overcome in what was considered as too critical for the project success.
In a work intended to be exploratory, a theory in terms of implementation axes and critical
success factors was used to guide the data collection and analysis. The importance of such axes
and the criticality of some factors for the project success as suggested in the literature have been
demonstrated.
The determination of mechanical properties of granitic rocks has a great importance to solve many engineering problems. Tunnelling, mining and excavations are some examples of these problems. The purpose of this paper is to apply Data Mining (DM) techniques such as multiple regressions (MR), artificial neural networks (ANN) and support vector machines (SVM), to predict the uniaxial compressive strength and the deformation modulus of the Oporto granite. Magnetic nanoparticles of magnetite and of nickel core with silica shell were prepared and either covered with a lipid bilayer or entrapped in liposomes, forming magnetoliposomes. New potential antitumoral 1,3-diarylurea derivatives of thieno[3,2-b]pyridines were then encapsulated in liposomes and magnetoliposomes and their photophysical behavior was investigated.
Photophysical properties of 2-quinolinones and coumarins, including peptide derivatives, were determined. Fluorescence emission and anisotropy measurements of compounds incorporated in lipid vesicles were performed. Our studies indicate that these compounds may be used as fluorescent probes for peptides and lipid membranes.
Fluorescence properties of new potential antitumoral 6-heteroarylthieno[3,2-b]pyridines, recently synthesized, were studied in solution and in nanoliposomes of different compositions. The results indicate that these compounds can be transported in the hydrophobic region of the lipid bilayer. The liposomal formulation Egg-PC:Ch:DPPG (7:3:1) is the one with smaller size and lowest polydispersity.

This article presents the results of a study conducted in a small textile company. The study aimed to characterize the state of quality management in the company highlighting weaknesses and areas for improvement. The methodology employed makes use of a set of tools for data collection and analysis such as interviews, flowcharts, diagrams of process analysis, defects registry matrix, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and cause-effect matrix. Based on the gathered data, the company procedures in quality management and the production process performance are described and analyzed. Besides reflecting the quality state in the organization, the study also allowed to prioritize the elimination of causes that are responsible for poor performance.
