High Dynamic Range (HDR) imagery is a step-change in
imaging technology that is not limited to the 8-bits per pixel for each color channel that traditional or low-dynamic range digital images have been constrained to. These restrictions have meant that the current and relatively novel imaging technologies including stereoscopic, HD and ultraHD imaging do not provide an accurate representation of the lighting available in a real world environment. HDR technology has enabled the capture, storage, handling and display of content that supports real world luminance
and facilitated the use of rendering methods in special
effects, video games and advertising via novel rendering methods such as image-based lighting; it is also compatible with the other imaging methods and will certainly be a requirement of future high-fidelity imaging format s...
Slow Fashion is defined as fashion integrating durable and timeless pieces, and specially using superior raw material and high quality finishing. It came out from concepts generated by the slow design, a new approach to present products able to respect human condition, biodiversity and the limitation of natural resources. It is directly concerned with sustainability, due to inherent increase of life cycle of the products and the significant reduction of the impact of human actions in the environment. Slow Fashion is responsible by higher quality and durability of the pieces, offering to the consumer specific and exclusive products. All the players in the textile chain can get higher value with fair salaries and better working conditions. This means less textile wastes, constantly rejected to the environment. A true challenge will be fa...

As far as the question of sustainability in textile fashion is under analysis, the roles played by the consumer, the manufacturer and the designer must be considered as having high impact in the lifecycle of the product and consequently, on environmental conservation. The value at-tributed to the final product should be opposed to the so-called textile waste which is being widely produced in order to have a cheaper final product by choosing low cost raw materials and wrong solutions for the productive processes. Thus, the textile products will have a short life cycle and will soon be disposed to the environment. Governments around the world must understand the impact of the production of textiles in the environment and so they will be able to legislate and correspond to the increasing awareness already expressed by many sectors of the ...
