Being just a way to externalize the criativity of a creator, existing only to satisfy a primary necessity of the human being or even being recognized by the label of ephemeral, are ideas that permeate through fashion. The fashion must respond to the expectations of the world in which we are inserted and therefore it must redefine its position in facing the future challenges. It is needed to readjust processes, raw materials and life cycles of products to be no longer separeted spheres, where each one produces or makes use of certain product without associating this with a environmental sustentability concern. It is expected that there is a constant concern, fully aware to adhere to the more compatible alternatives with a more demanding future.
In today’s business environment, every company compete aggressively to increase their level of productivity. Workplace design can be significantly affected the level of productivity, as it is based and carried out by using lean concepts and Ergonomics principles. The aim of this paper is, ideally, to propose integration of these concepts for the designing of workplaces. These ideas come out when normally company just focused into one approach, either Lean or Ergonomics. Through this, we hope that the manufacturing sector can get an optimized design of the workplaces. Lean Manufacturing systems had argued that by implementing Lean systems it is possible to obtain a decrease in the waste in manufacturing while Ergonomics can increase the workers’ comfort. Both of these can lead to an increase on the productivity level.
The huge research effort and common use of nanomaterials, being an opportunity for economic growth, pose health and safety problems. The research on the nanoparticles health effects performed during the last decade shows the possible harmfulness of several nanoparticles, including those already present in everyday use products. Although the increasing knowledge in the nanotoxicilogy field, and also the occupational hygiene responses in order to develop quantitative methods to evaluate nanoparticles exposure risk, there is a uncertainty climate. The use of qualitative risk assessment methods appears as a suitable way to deal with the uncertainties and to support decisions leading to the risk control. A comunicação incide na proposta de parâmetros de análise de actividades laboratoriais, definidos de forma a contemplar os pressupostos actualmente preconizados para o ensino das Ciências e tomando como referência as propostas já existentes. Esses parâmetros centram-se em dois aspectos: a) o principal objectivo que a actividade laboratorial permite atingir, o qual conduzirá à definição de uma tipologia de actividades laboratoriais; e b) o nível de abertura da actividade laboratorial, o qual informa acerca do envolvimento (procedimental e/ou conceptual) que a actividade laboratorial exige ao aluno.
To facilitate, in schools, access to information and digital inclusion, many countries have distributed educational laptops to their students. In Brazil, the Program One Computer per Student (ProUCA) completes six years in 2012. During this period, the needs, possibilities and challenges have emerged, and with them, new spaces for research and contributions to encourage and promote the use of this feature as a support to the educational process, digital inclusion and social. Thus, this study aims to present a brief history of the implementation of the Program and meet the Brazilian research resulting from this program between 2007 and 2012. Em particular, interessa-nos a investigação realizada por professores no contexto de cursos de mestrado, pressupondo que este contexto poderá ser propício a que os estudos realizados se articulem com os interesses e necessidades das escolas, fomentando a mudança.
